SageGlass is an electronically tintable exterior glazing that switches from a clear condition to a dark tint-or vice versa. The panes are coated with a thin, multilayer tungsten-oxide film that uses very low voltage-0.28 watts per sq. ft.-to switch states and using less than 0.1 watts per sq. ft. to maintain that state. When tinted, SageGlass transmits 3.5% visible light with and SHGC of only 0.09. The glass also blocks 98% of the total solar radiation that causes fading of interior furnishings.
